Wagon Creek Labs

We are a family owned kennel located in Southern Illinois, south of Marion, Illinois. We have been raising Labrador Retrievers for seven years and have owned at least one for 30 years. All of our dogs have been hip certified by OFA and the puppies have a 26 month guarantee on hip defects. We have one black male, two yellow females, two young black females and young yellow male. We compete in UKC/HRC sponsored Hunt Tests and all of our older dogs have titles. We are in the process of changing over our breeding pairs. We are trying to achieve the standard labrador "look" while keeping the hunting instinct and enthusiasm of the field trial dogs. Sonny below is our first step towards that. He will be getting a female friend this fall. We won't be breeding him until he is certified for hips at two years. We have another young female that will be ready next year also. She is the daughter of Storm and Millie.

The bottom picture is our new "stud". He's a little young right now, but he'll be ready in another year. His name is Wagon Creek's Sonofagun "Sonny" . We ran him hunt tests this Spring and he received his HR (Hunting Retriever) title before his first birthday.

We usually have two or three litters a year. So far they have all been a mix of blacks and yellows. Our male is yellow factored and produces yellow pups. Our females have all proven to be really good mothers and are willing to let anyone go into the pen with them and handle their pups.
